Steve Sands puts Stevie Williams week into perspective

Golf Channel reporter Steve Sands joined the show to talk about Stevie Williams caddying for Adam Scott en route to his WGC victory.

Sands thinks Stevie helped Scott, but he pointed out that Adam Scott played well enough to win at the Masters without Stevie Williams.

Sands said it was bizarre that fans were chanting “Stevie.” And Sands said his bosses were more eager to hear from Williams than Scott.

Sands doesn’t think that the Stevie Williams story has a lot of legs. He thinks it won’t last well into the PGA.

Sands said Williams was not very well liked. But Sands pointed out that Sands had a boss that wanted him to act like that.
