Ryan Kerrigan talks about having ‘high motor,’ getting tipped off before pick-six
Washington Redskins defensive end Ryan Kerrigan joined the show to talk about his first NFL game, a 28-14 win over the Giants.
Kerrigan said that being called a “high motor” player is a double-edged sword, because it implies you’re not talented. That being said, Kerrigan said he does try to play with a high motor.
Kerrigan talked about his pick-six against the Giants. Dan asked him if former Giant Barry Cofield, now with the Redskins, clued him into what play New York was running. Kerrigan said that Cofield told everyone to watch out for the screen.
Kerrigan said that defensive calls are probably a bit less complicated than one might thing, because they’re trying to work quickly.
