Shaq promises he’ll be honest as an analyst, talks about how he stumbled into Twitter

Retired NBA player and TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal joined the show to talk about his legacy and more.

O’Neal said that he doesn’t know if the Lakers will ever make a statue for him. But he doesn know they’ll retire his number. “Jerry Buss called me the day I retired and said he would retire my jersey number,” O’Neal said.

O’Neal said that he’s looking forward to being an analyst and promises to say what’s on his mind.

Dan asked who’s at fault if there’s no season. “Everybody’s at fault,” O’Neal said. “The only people who really get hurt are the fans.”

Dan asked the best coach he ever played for. He said Phil Jackson.

Shaq also talked about Twitter. He said he found it by accident when someone quoted his Tweet before Shaq even knew what Twitter was.  He said he has an issue with guys who use it more to promote than to entertain.
