Bob Stoops on Oklahoma’s win over FSU, not talking football with his brother and realignment

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops joined the show to talk about the Sooners’ 23-13 win over Florida State on Saturday.

Stoops said it was a little bittersweet beating his brother Mark who is the defensive coordinator at Florida State. Stoops said that they didn’t talk football any more because they’re playing against each other.

Dan mentioned that Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones called it an “ugly” win. Stoops said he thought it was beautiful. Stoops explained that Jones is used to scoring 40 points a game. Stoops said that he’s proud they didn’t have a line of scrimmage penalty even though the noise at FSU was deafening.

Stoops said he’s been consulted on what will happen with conference realignment. “They have definitely allowed me to weigh in on what I feel,” Stoops said. Stoops said it’s always positive if you’re leaving a conference, you should go as a group.
