Bernie Miklasz: Albert Pujols likely to return to Cardinals
St. Louis Dispatch columnist Bernie Miklasz joined the show to talk about the Cardinals’ chances of advancing to the MLB playoffs.
Miklasz said that some people — “the Baseball Amish” — don’t like the wild card, but this race is pretty special.
Miklasz said that Cardinals manager Tony La Russa had a lot of doubts about this team. Miklasz credited La Russa for always pushing his players to their fullest and never giving up.
Miklasz said there’s a good chance that Albert Pujols will be back in St. Louis because the other destinations aren’t really shaping up. “I don’t think it’s a great market for him,” Miklasz said. “The timing just isn’t working out.”
Miklasz said after the Phillies, the team to watch in the National League is the Milwaukee Brewers.
