Tony Dungy on Vick’s complaints, chances Manning will return this season

NBC NFL analyst Tony Dungy joined the show to talk about some of the big stories in the league.

Dungy said that Michael Vick shouldn’t have complained about the officials after the Eagles’ loss to the Giants last Sunday. Dungy thinks Vick should have let coach Andy Reid do the complaining, because what he said was legitimate.

Dungy explained mobile quarterbacks are treated differently than pocket passers: “I don’t think there’s any question that [Ben] Roethlisberger and Vick — quarterbacks like that — that officials feel they can get away and they give [pass rushers] a little more leeway.”

Dungy said he thinks Peyton Manning is planning on coming back in December. “I think they’re all planning on him coming back,” Dungy said.

Dungy said that Manning and the team will wait to see where the team is. “I think he’ll play in December if they’re still in it,” Dungy said.
