Harold Reynolds on how Tigers beat Yanks, CC opting out, White Sox hire

MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds joined the show to talk about the Tigers beating the Yankees.

Reynolds said he’s not shocked that Detroit is advancing. “They’re pitching was phenomenal,” Reynolds said. “[Justin] Verlander blew me away the other day pitching on two days rest.”

Reynolds still thinks CC Sabathia will opt out of his contract with the Yankees and go to another team. Reynolds thinks he may go to the National League to get back swinging the bat and running the bases, which would help his health.

Reynolds would be surprised if the Phillies or Brewers lost. He gives the Diamondbacks a slight chance.

Reynolds weighed in on the White Sox hiring Robin Ventura as manager. Reynolds said it came out of nowhere and is surprised. “It’s a gamble,” Reynolds said. “Major League Baseball is a lot faster than you think.” Reynolds said that he needs a great bench coach.

Reynolds thinks that former Red Sox manager Terry Francona wants a break and may not get a job this offseason.
