John Keating said Verlander did want to get in Game 5
FOX Sports Detroit Tigers reporter John Keating joined the show to talk about the American League Division Series.
Keating said ace Justin Verlander did try to make himself available for Game 5, but manager Jim Leyland stuck to his guns and didn’t use the probable Cy Young winner.
Keating said that the city of Detroit doesn’t quite know what to make of the Lions’ 4-0 start. He said the Lions-Bears Monday night game is right between Games 2 and 3 of the ALCS and the Motor City is going wild.
Keating said that as great as the Tigers have been, football is still probably a bigger deal.
