Tom Coughlin on coach handshakes, Tyree catch, Tony Romo

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin joined the show to talk about his season and more.

Coughlin talked about the obligatory coaches handshake. He said that it’s now awkward even if you’re lose big. He said he knows the other coaches and it’s not big deal.

Coughlin looked back at the Super Bowl. Dan asked Coughlin if he would have had  a problem if they had called in the grasp on Eli Manning’s famous pass to David Tyree. Coughlin said that Eli was moving and he wasn’t in the grasp.

Coughlin talked about the negative aspect of a bye. He said early ones can be tough if you’re building momentum.

Coughlin talked about Tony Romo’s style of play  — “Athletic as heck. Can move in the pocket. Will run, etc., etc.”

Coughlin is promoting the “Champions for Children” Gala next Friday in New York. It’s open to the public … go to www.tcjayfund.org.
