Roy Williams talks about playing on aircraft carrier

North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams joined the show to talk about playing Michigan State on an aircraft carrier on Friday.

“I’m excited,” Williams said. “Kids today don’t play outdoors. One hundred years ago when I played outdoors we played all the time.”

Williams said that it might rain, so they have another court set up in a hanger below. But he sincerely hopes it’s outside.

Dan asked Williams if he likes being No. 1. “I’d rather be No. 1 than 350,” Williams said.

Williams said he’s been in that position before. “In ’09 we were the only only unanimous No. 1 and we were really good,” Williams said. He doesn’t think this year is the same case. Williams said there are a lot of good teams.
