Doug Flutie says teams were waiting him to fail … much like Tim Tebow

Doug Flutie joined the show to talk about the 27-year anniversary of his Hail Mary to beat Miami and more.

Dan asked Flutie if he had anything in common with Tebow. “The only parallel I draw is the two of us are labeled a specific type that doesn’t fit their mold,” Flutie said. “It almost seems management wants us to fail. That’s the way I felt my whole career.”

Flutie agreed with Dan that the Broncos come off like they’re stuck with Tebow. But Flutie said that he’s surprised Tebow hasn’t thrown the ball better, because he has a strong arm.

Dan asked Flutie if there were any flaws with Andrew Luck. Flutie couldn’t think of anyone. Flutie said that the only thing missing is talented wide receivers, so we don’t know if there are certain outside routes he can throw.
