Robert Griffin says winning Heisman won’t affect his decision on NFL

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III joined the show to talk about winning the Heisman.

Griffin talked about lots of people saying he has a great sense of humor. “A lot of the nation doesn’t get to see us as regular people,” Griffin said. “So whenever I get the chance I like to joke around.

Dan asked Griffin if winning the Hesiman will affect his decision about the NFL. “Not at all,” Griffin said. “It doesn’t sway me either way.”

Griffin said he’s going on Letterman tonight. Dan warned him it’s colder than any stadium he’s played in.

Dan asked which NFL QBs he is similar to. Griffin said he has aspects of Michael Vick, Randall Cunningham, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Griffin admitted that was a pretty lofty list.

Griffin also talked about growing up in a military family. He said discipline was always huge and he believes you have to do what you say you’re going to do.
