Matthew Stafford comments on Suh, Tebow and Packers
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford joined the show to talk about their season.
Stafford swears he’s not looking forward to the Packers in Week 17 because they have the Raiders and Chargers ahead and they don’t know those teams very well.
Dan asked Stafford his opinion on Ndamukong Suh. “He gets on the field and his emotions get the best of him,” Stafford said. “Especially on Thanksgiving.”
Dan asked Stafford what he thought of James Harrison’s hit on Colt McCoy. Stafford said that it looked like it stung. Stafford said he understands the predicament defensive players are in, but thinks that they have to find ways to keep the game safe.
Stafford also had kind words on his former SEC rival Tim Tebow. He said that he’s a fiery player and he’s playing well — Stafford liked him beating the Bears too.
Stafford said he wasn’t a big rival with Tebow directly when he was at Georgia and Tebow was at Florida. He said it was more about the teams. “We played two different styles,” Stafford said.
Stafford is working with DIRECTV on ultimatedisplacedfan.com, a very cool contest to get a trip to the Super Bowl and the chance to hang out with DP and the crew.
