Phil Simms: Denver’s offensive line better than we think
CBS NFL analyst Phil Simms joined the show to talk about covering Tim Tebow and more.
Simms wanted to clarify some of the analysis on Tebow. He said that experts say he’s not getting protection. Simms said that he’s actually getting great protection. But he’s elongating the plays, so the defense gets to him.
Simms also talked about the Patriots’ reaction to playing Tebow. Simms said they wanted to remind everyone who they were on national TV. “Of course it’s personal,” Simms said. “That’s who they are.”
Dan asked who his MVP was … Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees. Simms said that he’d still go with Rodgers, because Brees is a little more reliant on a system. In Green Bay, it’s all about Rodgers.
