Gary Danielson: College football has ‘terrible’ system for end of season
CBS’ Gary Danielson joined the show to talk about the BCS title game.
Danielson said that the key factor in last night’s game was the “rematch” factor. Danielson didn’t seem to think it was totally fair that LSU had to beat Alabama twice, and said the matchup pointed to the system’s flaws.
“College football has a great regular season, and they have a terrible finish,” Danielson said.
Danielson said he thinks LSU’s players probably came into the game with a slightly negative attitude. And then they probably wondered why coach Les Miles wasn’t trying something different to attack Alabama’s defense.
