Chris Mannix weighs in on Kobe’s place among Lakers greats

SI.com’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about the big storylines around the NBA:

— Mannix thinks that Kobe Bryant is entrenched as the second-best Laker of all time behind Magic Johnson.

— Mannix said the Clippers are a team on the rise and could own the city in the next five years. “I’m starting to think of the Clippers as a possible contender right now,” Mannix said. “They can make some serious noise in the postseason.”

— Mannix said the Sixers’ success isn’t that surprising, because they started to jell at the end of last season. “There aren’t too many teams the Sixers can’t keep up with,” Mannix said.

— Mannix said Ricky Rubio has a “Magic Johnson awareness” on the court.
