Frank Isola says Jeremy Lin needs to improve outside shot
New York Daily News’ Frank Isola joined the show to talk about the Jeremy Lin phenomenon in New York.
“He seems like he’s a perfect fit for Mike D’Antoni’s system,” Isola said. “He’s a pick-and-roll point guard. … Sometimes it’s a matter of finding the perfect fit.”
Isola said that New Yorkers are particular about point guards and usually pretty tough on them. But when they succeed, they really embrace them.
Isola said the key will be what happens once teams scout him, they may have more success. He said that teams should make him prove he can hit the outside shot.
Isola said that Carmelo Anthony hasn’t played much with Lin yet, and he’s not sure how they’ll work out. He said that Carmelo hasn’t really fit D’Antoni’s system since he got there. Isola noted that the Knicks have had a losing record since ‘Melo arrived.
