Tom Izzo talks about how he gets Spartans to play into defense
Michigan State coach Tom Izzo joined guest host Bonnie Bernstein to talk about his season and more.
Izzo talked about his early season. The Spartans played on an aircraft carrier in front of President Obama, and then in Madison Square Garden on the night Coach K passed Bobby Knight on the all-time win list.
Izzo talked about his philosophy, which is defense first. He said that he looks at every sport, and defense always wins. He tries to communicate that to his team.
Izzo talked about Saturday’s matchup against Ohio State. He said the Buckeyes are so tough because they all play their roles — and he had a lot of praise for Jared Sullinger.
