Kyrie Irving talks about adjusting to NBA

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving joined the show to talk about his season and yesterday’s dramatic victory over the Kings.

Dan asked Irving his welcome-to-the-NBA moment. He said covering Kobe Bryant and then coming down and hitting a jumper on him. Dan asked if he talked trash. Irving said “you don’t talk trash to the Mamba.”

Dan asked the hardest part of adjusting to the NBA. “The travel,” Irving said. “Getting used to the day-to-day grind of the NBA.” Irving told Dan that he did wake up in Minnesota and wasn’t sure where he was.

Irving said LeBron’s comments he would return to Cleveland had nothing to do with him — at least for now.

Irving said he doesn’t watch too many Jeremy Lin highlights. The only thing that he pays attention to other than the Cavs are his “Call of Duty stats.” Irving said that no one on his team can keep up with him in the video game.
