Tony Stewart talks about Daytona, Danica and rule changes
Defending Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart joined the show to talk about defending his title.
Dan asked if he considers himself a favorite in Daytona.
“I can’t say I feel like the favorite,” Stewart said. “Daytona’s such a crap-shoot. There are so many good cars and good drivers.”
Stewart talked about some of the changes NASCAR made. He said they’re encouraging more pack racing. Stewart likes that, but he said you have to be careful about causing accidents.
Stewart also talked about Danica Patrick, who works for him now. He said that he’s excited she’s racing in ever Nationwide event, and she’ll get used to driving a stock car.
Dan asked what would happen if he and Patrick were coming down to the wire … would he ease off. Stewart said he’d find a way to win.
