Kenny Smith thinks Heat are best team in NBA
TNT NBA analyst Kenny Smith joined the show to talk about Jeremy Lin, LeBron James and all the big NBA storylines.
Dan asked Smith who the best team is in the NBA right now. “The Miami Heat,” Smith said. “We’re seeing what we thought we’d see last year. This is the style of basketball I thought they’d be playing.”
Smith isn’t worried Lin will fall off, because he’s very good at the pick-and-roll and he can keep doing that in Mike D’Antoni’s Knicks offense.
Smith also weighed in on Kobe Bryant speaking up about Pau Gasol. Smith thinks that was more about Kobe’s own interests instead of helping a teammate. Here’s how Smith read Kobe’s comments: “I don’t have three years to figure out what we’re going to do, I don’t have a season to waste. That’s what that was for. He’s got two or three years left.”
