Indiana’s Tom Crean previews Kentucky matchup
Indiana coach Tom Crean joined the show to talk about the NCAA Tournament and his season.
Crean told Dan he was currently watching Kentucky tape — specifically looking at the Wildcat’s offense against Iowa State. He said he wouldn’t tell Dan if he found a weakness, but he didn’t see one yet anyway.
Dan asked how to slow down the Wildcats. “I don’t think you can do any one thing you can bank on, because they’re going to figure it out,” Crean said.
Crean talked about the expectation level in Bloomington. “We haven’t really bought into anyone’s expectations or we wouldn’t be here,” Crean said. He said the team ignores experts who said they wouldn’t do well in the Big Ten.
Dan asked Crean if he thought this was a make-or-break year for him. Crean said he hoped not, pointing to his 10-year contract. Crean said if he wanted to get out of Indiana, he could have over the past couple of years.
