Peter King talks about Peyton Manning, Alex Smith, Dolphins
Sports Illustrated’s Peter King joined the show to talk about the Peyton Manning sweepstakes and more.
King tried to explain why the Niners risked losing Alex Smith by pursuing Manning. “They fully understood that chance but they decided it was too important an opportunity,” King said.
King, however, thinks Smith doesn’t jump on the Dolphins’ opening right now. “I still think the odds are that Smith swallows his answer and hangs on and goes back to San Francisco,” King said.
King talked about the Dolphins’ pursuit of Manning. He said that they were going to do anything Manning wanted, but that wasn’t nearly enough. King said Manning wants the best opportunity to go to the Super Bowl in the next two years.
King said that if the Titans offer Manning a lifetime job, than the NFL will really come after them for violating the salary-cap rules.
