Buster Posey says he wants to play as much catcher as possible this season

San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey joined the show to talk about his upcoming season.

Posey talked about his devastating injury at the plate and what it’s like now. Dan asked about Friday night, when he took a hit at the plate. “Your instincts take over and you don’t think about it,” Posey said.

Posey said he’s trying to set up in front of the plate a little bit more. “The biggest thing, is I have to make sure my body’s in the best position possible if I do take a shot,” Posey said.

Dan asked Posey if he’s talked to the organization about playing less catcher to keep him healthy. “My goal and their goal is to have me behind the plate,” Posey said.

Dan asked if running around after seven-month-old twins helped prepare him for the season. “It really worked on core strength and lower-back stability,” Posey said.
