Mike Florio weighs in on Sean Payton’s future, Tebow and L.A.

Profootballtalk.com’s Mike Florio joined the show to talk about all the stories coming out of the NFL owners’ meetings in Florida. Here are some of his takes:

— Florio thinks the Saints’ Sean Payton makes himself vulnerable by being out a year. What if the interim coach win the Super Bowl? Where does that put Payton in 2013? That’s one of the reasons Payton would ask a short-timer like Bill Parcells.

— Florio thinks New York is a good career move for Tim Tebow. He says Tebow should ride it out and see where it goes. Florio thinks Jacksonville will still be there for Tebow down the road. “At some point, the road is going to take Tim Tebow to his hometown of Jacksonville,” Florio said.

— Florio explained why the Jets extended Mark Sanchez’s contract. “They bought his cooperation in advance,” Florio said. Now Sanchez can’t act up if they play Tebow.

— Florio thinks it’s inevitable that the St. Louis Rams will move to Los Angeles.

— Florio thinks that the NFL should get rid of the on-field review. It should just be done up in the booth.
