Peter King says Saints will fill interim role internally
SI.com’s Peter King joined the show to talk about the latest news on the Saints and their next coach.
King said it appears the Saints will find their interim coach in-house. King said Bill Parcells will likely not be the interim coach and other candidates like Tony Dungy — who King said had been discussed internally — won’t fill the role either. King also said Jon Gruden will not be considered — and that Gruden wouldn’t be interested because he’d burn all his televisioin bridges.
King weighed in on the future of Gregg Williams. “I believe Roger Goodell will give him a path back to the NFL at some point,” King said. But he’s not sure a team would be able to bring in Williams, in part because players will look at him with suspicion.
