Peter King questions Redskins for taking Kirk Cousins
Sports Illustrated’s Peter King joined the show to talk about the NFL Draft and more. Here are some of his takes.
— King said the Redskins really surprised him by taking Kirk Cousins in the fourth round. King said that Washington doesn’t have picks in the coming years and have lots of needs.
— King said the Cowboys didn’t spend a lot of time working on Morris Claiborne because they didn’t think they could trade up to get him. King noted that the Cowboys are closer to being a contender than people realize.
— King said grading the Draft is like grading students on the first day of the Draft. But he likes Cincinnati and Tampa Bay. And he likes the Rams taking Janoris Jenkins, noting you can only take a guy like that if you have multiple picks.
— Dan asked King the story to watch moving forward. King said 1) Peyton Manning’s health. 2) How fast will Ryan Tannehill learn the playbook in Miami. 3) How do the Saints take the us-against-the-world mentality into next season.
