Mark Jackson comments on allegations Warriors tanked, Lakers’ defense and Jordan vs. Kobe
Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson joined the show to talk about his season and the playoffs.
Jackson said he enjoyed the first season because he works for such good people and he liked his young team.
Jackson talked about Jerry West’s comments on the Dan Patrick Show about allegations they tanked. Jackson said exactly the same thing as West. He said that they had legitimate injuries and couldn’t do anything.
Jackson commented on the Lakers. He said that Mike Brown has elevated the team’s defense and it’s more consistent on that end now.
Jackson also weighed in on the Michael Jordan vs. Kobe Bryant debate. “There’s no one else who’s ever played the two-guard position in the conversation,” Jackson said.
Jackson said that Kobe is a better jump-shooter, but Jordan was far superior going to the basket.
Jackson also shared his NBA Finals predictions. Jackson said he thinks the Heat will come out of the East. He grudgingly picked the Lakers to face Miami.
