Cedric Maxwell breaks down Celtics-Heat series

Boston Celtics radio analyst Cedric Maxwell joined the show to talk about the Celtics-Heat series.

Maxwell said Game 2 is huge for the Celtics if they hope to come back. Maxwell said the big problem in Game 1 was shooting for the Celtics. Ray Allen is struggling because of his ankle. Maxwell said he heard Allen hit over 20 threes in a row before the game but it didn’t happen during the game.

Dan asked Maxwell if we should expect some make-up calls because of everything that went wrong in Game 1 with Boston and the officials. Maxwell said you might get make-up calls within a game, but not like this. He said the teams that are more aggressive usually get the calls.

Maxwell commented on the widespread use of the pick-and-roll. He said defenses have gotten too good against one-on-one, so now teams use the pick-and-roll.
