Robin Ventura talks about first year as a manager, relationship with Nolan Ryan
Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura joined the show to talk about being in first place and his first season as a manager.
Ventura is surprised at how much there is to do as a manager and noted it’s been a wild ride with a perfect game and their good start.
Dan asked Ventura the toughest team he placed. He said the Rangers. And noted Dan helped him get together with Nolan Ryan. He said his relationship with Ryan has improved after their famous fight back in their playing days. “He did want to see if I wanted to trade John Danks,” Ventura said. “I wouldn’t give him up though.”
