John Rohde: Thunder match up better with Heat than Celtics

Oklahoman columnist John Rohde joined the show to talk about the Thunder advancing to the NBA Finals.

Rohde said that the Thunder players were excited after the game, but it wasn’t a crazy celebration. “They looked like they still have work to do,” Rohde said.

Rohde said that last year’s storyline about Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant not getting along was totally overblown by the national media. He said in most cases they get along very well. Rohde said that Westbrook is making less turnovers and keeping his head up.

Bonnie asked Rohde which Eastern Conference team the Thunder want to face. “I think they want Miami,” Rohde said. “They matchup up better against Miami.” Rohde said the Celtics scare OKC more, but the Thunder have handles the Heat well.

Bonnie asked Rohde to compare LeBron James and Durant. “Better player, James,” Rohde said. “Better teammate, Durant.”
