Jeremy Roenick discusses L.A. Kings’ place in history

NBC NHL analyst Jeremy Roenick joined the show to break down the Stanley Cup Final.

Roenick talked about the Kings’ place in history. He said that they don’t have the stars of the great Oilers teams, but they’ve out-thought, out-hustled and out-played their opponents in a dominant way.

Roenick noted that one of the keys to the Kings’ turnaround was Game 1 of the playoffs when they went into Vancouver and beat the No. 1 team in the NHL: “That was kind of the flip of the switch … if we can beat these guys two teams in their building, we can do some damage.”

Roenick said the Kings’ future could be bright because you start with goalie Jonathan Quick, who is brilliant.
