Ernie Els previews U.S. Open and talks about Tiger’s intimidation

Golfer Ernie Els joined guest host Chris Mannix to talk about the U.S. Open at the Olympic Club in California and more.

Mannix asked Els if players are still intimidated by Tiger Woods. “In a way yes,” Els said. “Het’s got a hell of a legacy as a player. He’s won 14 majors. Myself and David Duval and [other players] got the short straw.”

Els talked about some of the younger guys who stand out. Rory McIlroy   “They handle media really well and they can really play,” Els said.

Els talked about some of the major challenges of the Olympic course as well. The two-time U.S. Open champion said that Olympic is particularly tricky already with very difficult angles.
