Karl Malone looks back at Dream Team — says he’d pick Pippen to play with first

Hall of Famer Karl Malone joined the show to talk about the Dream Team and more.

Malone took huge exception to Charles Barkley claiming himself as the second-best power forward of all time. Malone said he loves Charles, but he was a distant third.

Malone confirmed the story that Clyde Drexler brought two shoes that were for the same foot during Dream Team practice.

Malone said that Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson were the two most competitive players on the court.

Dan asked Malone which player on the Dream Team would he start a team with — not including John Stockton. He said Scottie Pippen, noting his defense. His second one would be Magic Johnson.

Malone addressed his hard foul on Isiah Thomas that caused 40 stitches. He said he’d never try to hurt an opponent, but he’d always side with a teammate in any situation.

Malone also had interesting comments on Dennis Rodman. He said Rodman is one of the most generous people he knows and doesn’t appreciate people saying bad things about him.
