Peter Gammons weighs in on Bryce Harper and Mike Trout
MLB Network’s Peter Gammons joined the show to talk about the big stories around baseball.
Gammons weighed in on Bryce Harper’s recent run-in with Ozzie Guillen. Gammons said he’s spent time with Harper and he has no problem with the Nationals rookie. “I find him to be very good at deferring to veteran players,” Gammons said. “I know he’s absolutely fascinated with the history of the game and who plays the game right.”
Gammons said that Mike Trout snuck up on people a little more than Harper. Trout was picked No. 19 in the first round and not everyone knew he’d be this player.
Dan asked Gammons who he’d buy into — Trout or Harper. Gammons said Trout, because he worries Harper plays too hard and runs into walls … which breaks up their careers.
