Frank Isola explains why Knicks let Jeremy Lin go

New York Daily News’ Frank Isola joined the show to talk about Jeremy Lin leaving the Knicks.

Isola said that the Knicks were going to match the Rockets’ original offer, but then Lin went back and got a new offer that proved to be too much.

Isola tried to explain what Knicks owner James Dolan was thinking: “He felt somewhat deceived. And he felt Jeremy Lin wasn’t being loyal to a Knicks team that gave you a chance.”

Isola said New York fans are upset about this and now are looking squarely at Carmelo Anthony, who is Dolan’s guy.

Isola also said that the Knicks’ free-agency strategy — going after Steve Nash and signing Jason Kidd — showed that they had their doubts about Lin.
