Abby Wambach talks about U.S.’s Olympic-opening win
U.S. Soccer star Abby Wambach joined the show to talk about their opening-round win over France and what lies ahead in the Olympics.
Wambach said you could tell there was something wrong with Hope Solo with the sun early in the game. But she said she knew they just needed to focus on scoring goals and they’d be OK.
Wambach talked about her approaching Mia Hamm’s international goal record. She said it’d be great, but Alex Morgan will probably pass her eventually any way. Wambach said that Morgan is special — fast, strong and has a knack for scoring important goals.
