Chris Mannix comments on U.S.’s chances in Olympics, Dwight Howard’s future

Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about the Olympics and Dwight Howard’s future.

Mannix said if you have a team that has size, good guard play and the ability to avoid turnovers, they’ll give U.S. a hard time. He said Spain, France and Argentina are candidates to give U.S. a hard time.

Mannix commented on the possibility of America sending 23-and-under players in the future. He said it could happen, but big stars would fight back because they really want to participate in international competition.

Mannix said that the Magic are going to be patient about making a move for Howard. In fact, he said that Howard could have to report to Magic camp.

Mannix said that Howard signed for an extra year in Orlando because he was so afraid to upset fans. Mannix said Howard is sensitive, spends a lot of time on Twitter and didn’t want to be a bad guy.
