Mike Florio weighs in on report Vilma’s suspesnion could be lifted
Profootballtalk and NBC NFL analyst Mike Florio joined the show to talk about the report the NFL offered to reduce Jonathan Vilma’s suspension.
Florio said that the NFL may have floated this out as part of a negotiation. And then the NFL may have said they didn’t so they don’t seem weak.
Florio said Vilma has to decide if he can do better in court rather than take a reduced suspension. Florio said this is a game of leverage. And it will affect other players, who will gain leverage. But Florio doesn’t think that Sean Payton has a real chance of seeing his suspension lifted.
Florio said there’s a chance a judge in New Orleans could rule that Vilma’s suspension is lifted for now as they continue to work this out.
