Abby Wambach talks about winning gold in London
U.S. women’s soccer gold medalist Abby Wambach joined the show to talk about beating Japan yesterday.
Wambach said that they had a very special post-game celebration party last night. “It was really special,” Wambach said. “This is so fun. Winning gold medals … there’s nothing better.”
Wambach said that one advantage with U.S. soccer is that the federation lets them play professionally so they can focus on improving. And she hopes they can continue to grow the sport in the country.
Wambach commented on whether she’d play again in Rio in 2016. “I would love to feel this way again, so I could never could turn it down,” Wambach said.
