Brian Billick weighs in ‘Fins cutting Johnson, Peyton’s limited window, two darkhorses
FOX’s Brian Billick joined the show to break down the big stories around the NFL.
Billick weighed in on the Dolphins cutting Chad Johnson. He thinks that it could been more than his arrest for domestic abuse. It very well may have been cumulative.
Billick talked about Peyton Manning. He said he’s under some pressure because that has to happen right now, this year. Billick said make no mistake, Peyton is running this offense, not the offensive coordinator.
Billick said he understands competition at positions, but doesn’t necessarily think what the Jets are doing with Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. “If you got competition at the quarterback position,” Billick said, “you got problems, because you don’t have a legitimate quarterback.” Billick said if you don’t have a big-time QB who has the job, you’re not winning the Super Bowl.
Billick talked about two darkhorses for next season. The Bucs in the NFC, noting they were good two years ago. And the Chiefs in the AFC. Billick said he thought K.C. would have been an interesting fit for Peyton.
