Bret Bielema on Montee Ball, Russell Wilson and upcoming season

Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema joined the show to talk about the upcoming season.

Bielema said that his star running back Montee Ball is fine after getting jumped a few weeks ago. “Any time football has been taken away from him, he’s come back with a vengeance,” Bielema said. He said Ball has fresh legs and is ready to go.

Bielema explained that his star running back is pronounced “Mon-tae” Ball, not “Mon-tee.”

Bielema talked about their incredible depth at running back. He said Ball can rip off a 16-yard run and go to the sideline and catch his breath with no problem. Bielema said junior James White is very, very talented.

Bielema weighed in on Russell Wilson. He said that Wilson goes beyond the norm in terms of preparation and thinks he’ll be special in the NFL.
