Buck Showalter on Orioles’ chances of catching the Yankees
Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter joined the show to talk about their surprising success this season.
Showalter said that his team members really respect each other and are doing it for one another. And he feels the same way toward his players.
Showalter said he doesn’t to give ra-ra speeches. “I don’t want to insult their intelligence,” Showalter said. “They get it. If you start stating the obvious at this time of the year, frankly it’s a slap in the face.”
Showalter said he does expect the Yankees in the playoffs, even though he still thinks they can catch the Yankees.
