Jim Boeheim on Calhoun legacy and why ACC is better for Syracuse

Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim joined the show to talk about Jim Calhoun’s legacy and much more.

Boeheim talked about Calhoun and said that it’s easier to win at a place like North Carolina. But to win three titles at UConn is pretty special. “To me, it’s the best building job in college basketball history,” Boeheim said.

Boeheim and Dan discussed conference re-allignment. Boeheim said that the school didn’t consult him about moving to the ACC. But Boeheim is OK with the move.

“I think it’s the right move for Syracuse University,” Boeheim said. “The Big East isn’t what it was, expanding to the West. The ACC is on the East Coast.”

Boeheim also noted the ACC isn’t Tobacco Road any more and has a lot of former Big East teams.
