Arian Foster comments on state of game, replacement refs

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster joined the show to talk about his high expectations.

Foster commented on the new emphasis in rules. He actually doesn’t like the NFL cutting out physical play. He said he grew up on old school football and guys like Ronnie Lott and he doesn’t like that the League is eliminating that kind of play.

Foster talked about the state of the running game in the NFL. He said that the passing-heavy teams, other than the Pats, didn’t do very well in the playoffs.

Dan asked Foster who he doesn’t want to see in the hole if he’s running the ball. Foster said he doesn’t want to see anyone. But he said specifically he’s impressed with the Niners’ Patrick Willis.

Dan asked Foster why they don’t get a lot of attention. He said it’s because Houston is a smaller media market.

Dan asked Foster about his use of Twitter. He’s featured in SI.com’s Tweet Week and talked about how important social media is for him to connect to fans.
