Mike Florio says NFL could remain dug in on replacement refs
Profootballtalk.com’s Mike Florio joined the show to talk about the Monday Night Football game last night and more.
Dan asked Florio his take on the officials in Week 2. Florio said they were good in Week 1, but reverted back to poor form this week. “It’s back to being the keystone cops we saw during the preseason,” Florio said.
Florio thinks the NFL is going to dig in and be tough on the locked-out officials. “I think the NFL is going to try to hold out as long as they can,” Florio said. He also said the regular officials will try to hold on as long as they can.
Florio also weighed in on the latest news with Jonathan Vilma. He said that something just doesn’t seem right with former Saints coordinator Gregg Williams saying Vilma offered money to take out Brett Favre in an affidavit last Friday. Florio said that the NFL has no plan other than re-suspend Vilma for a year. Nothing will change.
