Bobby Valentine discusses ups and downs of season in Boston

Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine joined the show to talk about his team’s struggles and what’s next in Boston.

Dan asked if he can laugh at anything that happened this year. “Absolutely,” Valentine said. “I laugh about a lot of this stuff. But the record is no laughing matter.”

Dan asked if he was down with trading some of the bigger players on the team. “After it happened I was on board,” Valentine said. The Red Sox skipper said that the GM Ben Cherington knew his take on the composition of the team.

Dan asked Valentine if he would take a Mulligan and stay at ESPN. Valentine said that he learned a lot of things about his players this year, he was at the 100th anniversary of Fenway and much more.
