Jerome Bettis upset Notre Dame won’t play Michigan

The former Notre Dame and Steelers great Jerome Bettis joined the show to talk about Notre Dame and the NFL’s problems with replacement officials.

Dan asked Bettis his thoughts on the Notre Dame-Michigan rivalry coming to an end. “It’s terrible,” Bettis said. “I thought that was one of the biggest rivalries in the country. To stop it is very disappointing.”

Bettis said that the Michigan and USC games are the two most defining games for the Irish every season.

Bettis talked about the all-time rushing record. He said no one will ever beat Emmitt Smith’s record because we no longer see primary running backs. He said it starts in college with an emphasis on passing.
