Harold Reynolds weighs in with his MLB award choices

MLB Network’s Harold Reynolds stopped by the NYC Mancave to talk about the big storylines around baseball.

Reynolds is really impressed with Miguel Cabrera for chasing the Triple Crown. He says players specialize in what they do well … and that’s what’s so incredible about Cabrera — he’s in it for everything.

Reynolds thinks that David Price and R.A. Dickey will both win the Cy Young. He compared R.A. Dickey to Steve Carlton the year he won 27 on a terrible Phillies team.

Reynolds had interesting comments on the Yankees Alex Rodriguez. He said he never understood the A-Rod contract because he was getting paid for being a shortstop who hit 50 HRs — and they they moved him to third.

Dan asked who the Yankees were developing behind Derek Jeter. He said “they’re developing a guy named Tulowitzki in Colorado.”
