Charles Davis on USC’s chances of winning Pac-12, timing of Heisman vote

FOX’s Charles Davis joined the show to talk about the big college football games this weekend and more.

Davis thinks that the Pac-12 race will go to the end and USC looks much better against certain styles of teams. He said that Stanford’s physical nature is a problem for the Trojans. However, he thinks USC can match up with Oregon.

Dan and Davis got into a discussion of whether they should wait to give out the Heisman after the bowl games. Davis said he agreed and pointed to Vince Young’s performance for Texas against USC in the national championship game. He said that was the best college football performance ever and he would have won the Heisman if they voted after the bowl games.

Dan and Davis also got into an interesting discussion on mobile quarterbacks. Davis goes back to Fran Tarkenton and Roger Staubach as QBs who drove their coaches nuts by running so much.
